The Institute

Paanchajanya Yoga Vidy Kula. Paanchajanya was the conch of Lord Sri Krishna and its resonant sound would strike fear into enemies and chase them from the battlefield (Kurukshetra). The practice of paanchajanya helps chase the ailments of mind and body. Prana Vashya Yoga is the name of the system practiced at Paanchajanya Yoga Vidya Kula, an institute of complete yogic education. The PVY Shala has been working for the benefit of hundreds of people since the year 2000. During this time, the PVY shala has been recognized as the shala producing the greatest number of yoga champions in all of India and many of its students teach abroad.

Prana Vashya Yoga is for any level of accomplishment. Classes are limited to a maximum of ten and everyone goes at their own pace with the appropriate sequence and posture for their skill level. Close, individual attention is given to each student.

Premalatha (Vinay's mother and PVY instructor) is well known for her sweet and charming personality and not incidentally, for her inspiring chanting and bhajan classes. Many people apart from PVY students attend Prema's weekly bhajans. An adept and accomplished yoga practitioner herself, Prema would practice with Vinay when he was very young and became one of the foundations for his development in yoga "Her encouragement is the most important factor responsible for whatever I am now" says Vinay. Prema is also a marvelous cook and a skilled artificial jewelry maker and is happy to share her skills in classes with appointment.

We are happy to inform that Traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga classes will be taught under the same roof (ground floor) where presently Pranavashya Vinyasa yoga is being taught (First floor). Practitioners, from Beginners to Advanced are welcome.

The Responsibility of helping people with the core knowledge of yoga asana in Ashtanga Vinyasa, will be with one of the most Dedicated practitioners of our Shala, Vijay (Vinay's brother).
